1. 研究目的与意义

Teacher, as a type of occupation, always plays an important role in people#8217;s life and in society when it was appeared. The education that the young get is the basis in their whole life in particularly. All of these tell us it#8217;s so significant to select teachers and to find the perfect ways to select. And we can see there are more and more documents and information about teacher certification system in China recently. And America, as a developed country, is advanced in most aspects especially in education. Obviously, there are much more data about it and some articles are to compare the two systems. This study tries to add the information about advantages and weaknesses to make Chinese system better and better. The findings of the study will make people know more about teacher certification system of America and China, including the history, their differences, the merits that American system has, the shortages in Chinese system. And the system of China is still developing and updating, so this study will get the enlightenment from America and benefit the revolution of teacher certification system in China. Thus, the quality of teachers in China will be improved, and then children can get better education and grow up well.

2. 研究内容和预期目标

The education system in the US is admired by most of countries, and Chinese teacher certification system is developing now. So it#8217;s necessary for China to learn from American system to improve. This thesis will study some aspects to compare the two systems to give references to China. This study will contain five parts.

3. 国内外研究现状

Teacher certification system is always studied as the essential part of the education. There are many experts and researchers do study to improve the teachers#8217; quality. We can see the regulatory policies in the laws of the two countries. Meanwhile, we#8217;ve got the information from scholars about the two systems#8217; history that American system started in 1825 but Chinese system began in twentieth century. And both of them have been developed and reformed all the time especially the Chinese one now. There are many researches show us about the better American system, including the organizations, the policies, examinational plans, the types of certification, etc. According to some studies, Chinese system has the most elements but it#8217;s so different from the American one. And we can find the deficiencies and problems in its early stage now from the researches and people#8217;s life. There are more studies about Chinese system in China as well as more studies about American one in the US. But recently more and more Chinese researchers try to get the information about American system to find the way of learning and reforming. So we can see lots of studies about American system and some comparison studies. This one will continue to compare the two systems to find more differences and give some help to the system revolution.
